“For the women who persist: keep on being bloody difficult.”
Caroline Criado Pérez
Why Hilda?
The Hilda Project is the consequence of spending hundreds of hours thinking about banking strategy, financial pressures, data privacy and innovation, and designing products for women. What started as a thought experiment over a glass of wine with a friend turned into a real investigation: what if women built a bank?
Who is behind Hilda?
FOUNDER
Jessica Wilkinson
Jessica is an ex-management consultant and public relations expert with experience designing and delivering innovation strategies for financial, energy, and tech companies across Canada and the UK. Over the years, Jessica and her friends have talked about their struggles with navigating financial systems. She’s finally gotten tired of saying “there has to be a better way” and is now ready to figure it out.
Her parents say she’s been bloody difficult from the start.

Upasna Bhadhal
Upasna is a principal consultant experienced in designing and delivering DEI programmes and initiatives for global organisations. The majority of her career has been spent within the wealth & investment industry helping to build European investment teams.
